SHARON GOLDMAN has been called a “brilliant tunesmith” whose vivid imagery and intelligent, inventive storytelling — combined with clever, catchy melodies and pure, precise vocals — take folk-pop to new, more powerful places.

Her latest album, KOL ISHA (A Woman's Voice), released in August 2016, takes her in a new creative direction: In a dozen original songs (and one cover of Eliza Gilkyson's "Rose of Sharon"), she offers a bold, unique song journey merging Jewish imagery, myth and memories with a modern, feminist perspective. She digs deep into memories of prayers and rituals; of roads not taken; and of voices not heard. She also mines the stories of biblical and mythical women for creative inspiration.
