SHARON GOLDMAN is a NJ-based contemporary singer-songwriter known around the Tri-State area and beyond for her intelligent storytelling and powerful vocals.

Sharon’s upcoming album, KOL ISHA (A Woman’s Voice) explores her religious Jewish upbringing with a questioning, seeking and, at times, conflicted voice. She digs deep into memories of prayers and rituals; of roads not taken; and of voices not heard. She also mines the stories of biblical and mythical women for creative inspiration.

Of her latest songs,  singer-songwriter and activist Si Kahn has this to say: “Sharon Goldman has done something quite remarkable, merging the cadences of ancient Hebrew liturgy with a contemporary feminist perspective on modern Jewish and American life.  Despite its historic roots, her work is easily accessible to anyone who appreciates intelligent, poetic, musically compelling folk.”

And, from Alan Young of New York Music Daily: “Goldman’s new song cycle is as universal as it is rooted in centuries of tradition…a radical departure…a genuinely brave move for her.”
